Our Mission
The SECURE (Security Education Center for Unified Resilience & Effective Communications) project aims to establish two advanced Research & Education Hubs (R&EHubs) — one in Ukraine and one in Georgia — drawing upon EU university best practices. Each hub will host three cutting-edge virtual laboratories specializing in cybersecurity for 5G and next-generation networks. These R&EHubs will serve as:
- A foundation for developing practical laboratories and hands-on assignments within four innovative educational modules
- A platform to train academic and technical staff through upskilling initiatives
- A venue for conducting applied research and investigating cyberattacks in emerging technologies
- A secure, interconnected platform allowing remote access by all stakeholders via the unified RESec HUB

Innovate & Learn Featured Courses
RESec HUB offers four innovative modular courses designed to equip students, researchers, and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed in advanced cybersecurity domains, particularly relating to 5G+, quantum, AI/ML technologies, and DevSecOps.
5G & Beyond Cybersecurity
Security frameworks for 5G and next-generation connectivity.
- Overview of 5G/6G architectures and protocols.
- Threat models: network interception, DoS, man-in-the-middle attacks.
- Defense strategies: cryptography, blockchain, secure IoT integration.
Quantum and Post-Quantum Security
Quantum cryptography fundamentals and preparedness for post-quantum threats.
- Principles of quantum random number generators (QRNGs).
- Quantum-resistant algorithms and key exchange methods.
- Use of quantum-secure approaches in actual systems.
AI/ML for Cybersecurity
Utilizing machine learning and AI to bolster cybersecurity in modern networks.
- ML-based threat detection: anomaly recognition, clustering, behavior analysis.
- Common network-layer attacks (ARP spoofing, DHCP spoofing, CAM overflow) and AI-driven mitigation.
- Techniques for malware prediction and automated threat intelligence extraction.
DevSecOps
Integrating security into the software development lifecycle.
- Principles of secure code: static analysis, dependency scanning.
- Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with embedded security measures.
- Infrastructure as code and secure container management.
Our Labs
5G/6G Security Lab
Focus area: Training and research on IoT, drone tech, telephony, and more using cutting-edge 5G with an eye toward 6G.
Activities:
- Model large-scale device environments and analyze ultra-reliable, low-latency communication.
- Simulate and study attacks, deploying mitigation such as cryptography, blockchain, etc.
- Support hands-on course work in 5G+ security.
Access & Location:
- Physically hosted at Kyiv aviation institute (Kyiv).
- Offers VPN-enabled remote access.
- Interconnected with other labs via the unified R&E Hub.
Quantum Security Lab
Focus area: Generation and use of true random numbers using Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNGs).
Activities:
- Enables hands-on exercises in quantum security and post-quantum cryptography.
- Provides randomized inputs for other labs (e.g., network testing).
- Democratizes access to rare quantum devices for students and researchers.
Access & Impact:
- Closed-loop support for Georgian and Ukrainian academia/industry.
- Remote availability via VPN-connected R&E Hub.
AI/ML Security Lab
Focus area: Virtual environment with powerful servers for AI/ML-enabled security solutions.
Activities:
- Training on network protocols, attack techniques (ARP poisoning, CAM overflow, DHCP spoofing, etc.).
- Research on threat detection via graph analysis, user behavior clustering, malware analysis, and automated threat intelligence.
- Lab uses actual vendor hardware/software (Cisco, Mikrotik, Juniper).
Access & Collaboration:
- Fully virtual, modular platform accessible via VPN.
- Connected to other labs to integrate multi-domain scenarios in 5G+, quantum, and AI-driven security research.
